Teleporting
Ever since i started watching Charmed, i always wanted to do the teleporting(orbing) effect, hehe.
Now that i have particle illusion, i gave it a shot, so here it is.
The raw avi file was actually 450 Mb, had to delete it coz i dont have much space plus it couldn't be played smoothly with media player (i know, i have a crappy VGA card, its actually 32 Mb. Okay , don't have a heart attack, i'm gonna buy a new GeForce one soon!! :D)
Ciao,
Amer

Why not render the video files with DivX encoding? It will save you a lot of space if you want to keep the original video. Plus, Vegas can encode and output the file immediately, you don't need to use a stand-alone encoder!
hehe, thanx :D
I usually render the full uncompressed avi file with the effects using Particle Illusion, so there's no quality loss, then i import it to Vegas and usually output it as realmedia file type, this video actually is a 500 Kb rm video file, LOL.
Ana jdeed jibto cracked lal particle illusion and downloaded all the libraries from their site < amma nas aghbya, bi7u66oohom for direct download >, plus there's nothing much else to do in summer. hehe
I really intend to buy a new graphics card coz my pc is suffocating with the pressure of vegas and particle illusion and the processor isnt that good either, its only 2000, and i read that vegas depends only on the cpu.
6awwalt 3aleik, bal3i kteer LOL.
Anyway,What graphics card do u suggest ??
Amer
Your graphic card has nothing to do with your business here, unless it's your way of convincing your father to buy it ;)
Seriously, your CPU is the bottle neck in the process I think. You should consider upgrading to faster CPU, and maybe a faster RAM will help too, but the graphics card should be the least of your concerns for video editing ...
Anyway, if (for any other reason) you want to buy a graphics card, then go for GeForce FX 5200 or FX 6xxx. The 6xxx GeForce are the top of the notch, but FX 5200 is a super "affordable" card. FX 5200 is your best choice if you don't want to spend "that" much money, but if you got any extra go for FX 6xxx.
no i know that i don't need to upgrade my graphics card for video editing.
I need it for Particle Illusion, sth about OpenGL for hardware acceleration, and in general for various multimedia stuff. I'm not really good with brands, some friend told me about GeForce4 256Mb, my current one is 32Mb, i laugh at myself when i remember that, and its too old, since 99/00 or sth like that
actually i wanted the power of freeze :D sometimes realy u want to stop the time and freeze everything :D
Amer the amount of memory mounted on your graphics card is not as much important as the processing power of its Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). 128 Mb will do just fine in your case, ofcourse the more the better, but look for the best available card model you can afford, before caring about the amount of memory it has.
For example, GeForce FX 6600 128 MB is much better than FX 5200 512 MB.
Ghaith, thanx man for clearing that out, it was really helpful :D
Wedad, i would like to do the freezing effect too , but my damn camera stopped functioning for some reason, lol
